I saw there's a way to use GIMP in headless mode by feeding it commands, but I don't know if I even need that. I cannot use that from the commandline however, and using GIMP's GUI every time defies the purpose of what I'm trying to achieve. Wrong BMP format, BMP images must be in 24-bit colourĪs you can see I tried using convert "$1" -depth 24 "$1.bmp" to get a 24-bit BMP image, but that doesn't work as I expected.įor reference, I get a proper file while exporting with GIMP: The Analysis & Resynthesis Sound Spectrograph 0.2.3 I tried ImageMagic's convert, but I wan't able to get the 24-bt color depth.ĪRSS="/unfa/Applications/ARSS/arss-0.2.3-linux-binary/arss" 2) Convert b.dxf to b14.dwg, a14 DWG file in Version 14.0. I'm looking for a way to convert any given image to a suitable BMP file so ARSS can process it. Conversion of multiple files shall be done according to the sequence as shown in the following example, and at the same time, the conversion result should be recorded in convert.log file: 1) Convert a.dwg to a10.dxf, a10 DXF file in Version 10.0. ![]() The program converts images to sounds and vice-versa but it only accepts 24-bit BMP images, which I was only able to produce using GIMP so far. ![]() I'm writing a wrapper Bash script for ARSS to make it easier to use.
